RPO – RUBBER PROCESS OIL

  • RPO – MINAREXMinarex produced by Lube Oil Complex at Pertamina Cilacap Refinery is to meet processing oil demand at rubber industry, tyre and printing ink.The majority of the components are aromatic hydrocarbons,the rest is naphthaenic and paraffinic hydrocarbons.
    As a processing aid in the tyre and rubber industry Minarex is a key component to:
    • Enchance softening and swelling process of rubber
    • Reduce viscosity of rubber compound.
    As a secondary plastisizer in the PVC industry, Minarex is used as a substitute of DOP (Diocyl Phthlat) and give advantages such as:
    • To lower the viscosity
    • PVC molecule will flow at lower temperature than its melting point, which will improve the fluidety of PVC compound • Better compound homogenity
    • Better quality of finnished product in term of flexibility.

    - Processing of oil to the rubber industry

  • RPO – PARAFFINIC OILParaffinic oil is produced at Pertamina Cilacap Refinery. It is known as processing oil with composition of paraffinic hydrocarbon, aphthenic and the small content of aromatic hydrocarbon. Application / benefit:

    • As a processing oil or rubber industries such as tyre, van belt, and other automotive parts.
    • As a Processing oil and extender for polymer natural rubber industries.
    • As base oil for printing ink


    There are three types of paraffinic oil:
    • Paraffinic 60
    • Paraffinic 95
    • Paraffinic 650

  • RPO – EXDO 4 ( Eco- Friendly)Exdo-4 has a very important function as “ Processing Aid” in making the rubber compound, to improve the softened and elastic process of rubber and also to decrease the thickness of rubber compound.

    • As A processing Aid in Rubber Industry
    • PAH (Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon) less than 1 ppm
    • Total PAH (Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon) less than 10 ppm
